Julie and David’s Wedding at Trinity Lutheran Church

The Teefeys said “I Do” during their wedding at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mission, Kansas on September 26, 2020. They then partied the night away with their closest family and friends at Boulevard Brewing Company.

They first met online, with a first date taking place at Rock and Brews in Overland Park. They spent hours together that evening talking about everything from the men’s Olympic swimming team to dreams, goals, and five year plans. David wasted no time learning Julie’s intentions. The first date quickly led to many more.

David popped the question to Julie on November 9, 2019 at Shawnee Mission Park while a friend was taking pictures of the two during a “practice” portrait session. When the picture taking was about to wrap up, Keri asked David if there were any other spots that he’d like for pictures. Julie thought it was a little weird that the photographer with an eye for good picture spots was asking David what would be good, but Julie was having fun and went along with it. David liked to tease Julie with ring pop candies, so when David started to kneel, Julie completely thought David was pulling out the ring pop that he had brought along that day. At the same time that Julie was going to tell David to get up and not tease her, he pulled a very shiny, not candy, diamond ring out of his pocket and asked Julie to marry him. She, of course, said YES!
