Kara and Paul said their vows in front of their immediate family and friends in their Kansas City backyard wedding on October 3rd.
We love a good old fashioned backyard wedding! Thanks to Kara and Paul who had us out to their special ceremony, attended by their closest family and friends. Their micro wedding took place at her parents’ house in Prairie Village, Kansas. They wanted to keep everything as local as possible with the cake, flowers, photographer, band and videographer vendors all hailing from the area.
Even though the day was ultimately about them, Kara and Paul wanted to make everyone feel included and celebrated throughout their Kansas City backyard wedding. For the kids, they rented a bouncy castle and had their favorite food waiting for them at the reception (Chik-fil-a!). For the rest of the family, they celebrated their Scandinavian roots with a traditional buffet of dishes from the region and beautiful dala horse cookies from Dolce Bakery.
