Google 360 Photos for Business

Google 360 Photos

We’ve been having fun recently experimenting with our Ricoh Theta V 360° camera.  It’s a little device, about the size of a small chocolate bar, that takes 360-degree photos. We originally picked it up just to produce Zillow 3D home tours for our Kansas and Missouri real estate clients, but now we’re starting to branch out with it more and more. From what we’ve seen so far, Google 360 photos can be a powerful marketing tool.

Recently we started to focus on its applications for potential retail clients. Most business owners don’t know how to create and post their own 360-degree images to Google Street View. Whenever you use Google Maps to search for directions, Google Street View will pop up showing you exactly what your destination looks like from the outside.  With Google My Business listings and Google Map locations, you can now show off what a place looks like from the inside.

Here are a few spots that we captured lately around Lawrence to show off the power of a 360 photo when teamed with Google Street View.

J. Lynn Bridal

[wpvr id=”4725″]
Located in the heart of historic downtown Lawrence, J.Lynn Bridal is a hip little boutique that specializes in wedding and formal attire. From classic to boho to couture- they have an eclectic mix of styles and sizes to suit every bride.  We wanted to capture three different areas in their store: the entry and both bridal suites where brides get to try on their dresses. Check out their 360 photos on Google Maps here.

1313 Mockingbird Lane Toys & Collectibles

[wpvr id=”4733″]
1313 Mockingbird Lane Toys and Collectibles first opened their doors on Mass Street in Lawrence in February of 2019. You can expect to find everything from modern to vintage toy collectibles; G.I. Joe, Transformers, DC, Marvel, Freddy, Jason, Leatherface, Cenobites, Hello Kitty… just about everything your inner kid could want. You can see this 360 photo on Google Maps here.

Danforth Chapel

[wpvr id=”4739″]
Danforth Chapel was dedicated in 1946. It was named after William Danforth whose grant from the Danforth Foundation provided the impetus for beginning construction. Students and faculty also contributed money and labor to see their site for meditation become a reality. The Chapel is nondenominational and provides a quiet place for individual meditation and prayer. It is also used for weddings, christenings, memorials, and appropriate student activities. See how this 360 photo looks on the Danforth Chapel Google listing here.

We can’t wait to use our 360-degree camera to capture more locations around Kansas and Missouri!
