Elizabeth & Matthew’s Wedding at Our Lady of Sorrows Church

Wedding at Our Lady of Sorrows Church

The Bergmans said “I Do” in front of their closest family and friends at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church on August 8, 2020.

Afterwards they went to the place where they first met in person, the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City. That’s where they had their first date. 2 years later, Matthew took Elizabeth there on a Saturday morning. After walking around the museum, they went outside to the sculpture gardens. He popped the question while they sat by one of the shuttlecocks.  On a fun side note, their wedding photographer, Kelsie Cragg, actually witnessed the proposal while photographing another couple.  It’s a small world.

These two made the best of the pandemic, as they head over to a small wedding reception after their photo/video session at Nelson-Atkins.  They plan to have a larger reception next year with all of their friends and family invited.
