5-Minute Portraits at the Baker Wetlands

We’re expanding the services that we offer at Robot Monster Creative, starting with photography. We tried a little experiment.  What kinds of photos can we take with people when we only have 5 to 10 minutes?  We setup several appointments over the course of an hour on a beautiful evening in Lawrence, Kansas. Here are some of our favorites of the Baker Wetlands portraits we snapped.

Zoe is a college student who thought it would be fun to get some new photos for her Instagram.  She was so awesome to work with.  Her posing along with the perfect golden hour light gave us a bunch of great images to edit.

It was easy for Geoff to get down on one knee as he had just had a minor procedure done the previous day.  We’re glad he did though, because he looks like the second pea in a pod next to his loyal companion.

These three were a ball of energy, especially the youngest. We all had to keep up with her as she ran through the trails, giddy and full of giggles.  We took a bunch of photos with not only them, but their parents as well, but this one really show off their spirits.

Regan and her boyfriend don’t have many pictures together, so they decided to rectify this with a quick 5-minute portrait session at the Baker Wetlands.  We’re so glad they came by and let us photograph them.

Scarecrow, the Dog

He might look like a tough guy, but Scarecrow is the sweet good boy you’re ever going to meet. Being less than a year old, he had a ton of energy.  Whenever he stopped hopping around, smelling every person and blade of grass he can find, we snapped as many photos as we could. For this pic in particular, we removed the leash he was connected to in order to make him look a bit calmer.

We had a great time taking these Baker Wetlands portraits and can’t wait to snap another round!
