It’s a new year and Lawrence is moving right ahead. Enjoy your favorite local dining spots during Lawrence Restaurant Week! Whether it’s indoor socially distanced dining, delivery or curbside pick-up, you can eat and drink your way through the Restaurant Week special menus that make this town DELICIOUS.
We teamed up with the Lawrence Restaurant Association to help them produce a last-second video to promote the big event. We had an amazing time traveling around town getting footage, visiting local restaurants and seeing all of the food this community has to offer diners.
It’s been a rough year for restaurants. One of our interviewees told us that 1 in 5 people living in Lawrence works in the food or entertainment industry. That has taken a dramatic toll on our community. That’s one of the reasons we wanted to help produce this video to promote Lawrence Restaurant Week. We want to support our fellow entrepreneurs in Douglas County that have felt the financial effects or the pandemic.
If you want to take part in this event, simply order some food from a local restaurant. You don’t even have to dine in. Most of the establishments in Lawrence have made special arrangements for takeout orders, outdoor dining and delivery options. We can’t think of a more delicious way to help a local business!
