When we showed up to film Josh and Lily’s wedding back in March of 2019, we had no idea what we were getting into, let alone that there would be a skateboard involved.  They are an amazing couple with great families and terrific friends.  The wedding day was going to plan. We filmed all of the normal events that happen on a regular wedding day.  There was the first look, the “I Do’s”, the cake cutting, etc.  At one point later in the evening though, we noticed Josh and Lily quietly sneak out of their reception at The Little Theatre in downtown Kansas City.  We followed them down the street to Barney Allis Plaza.  That’s where they made television magic with Josh’s skateboard!

We received a Facebook message months later from the syndicated television show RightThisMinute.  They wanted to feature Josh’s skateboard jump over his new bride in the heart of Kansas City.  After asking Lily if it would be okay, we said yes and two days later, they ran this segment on their show:

It’s these kinds of moments that make us love filming weddings.  We didn’t plan for this.  It just happened.  If we hadn’t been curious and on the lookout for interesting moments to film for Josh and Lily’s wedding film, we would have totally missed this amazing wedding day skateboard stunt.  Thank you Josh and Lily for your sharing your daredevil spirit and aerobatic antics with the world on the biggest day of your lives.  You can watch their full wedding film here.
